Forest School and Woodland Crafts

Our woodland events and activities connect people of all ages with nature and support them to improve their mental and physical health and wellbeing – and to have fun in the process!

Healthy, enjoyable learning

Forest school, bushcraft and woodland crafts offer opportunities for hands-on learning and creating in the most inspiring classroom there is: the great outdoors.

Guided by expert teachers and activity leaders, participants learn traditional, practical skills that raise confidence, resilience and self-sufficiency; find out about plants and animals; surprise themselves with what they can do; express their creativity; share experiences; and make new friends.

Children and adults can discover, explore, move and make things in a beautiful, natural setting with plenty of space, lots of fresh air, and a focus on sustainability and community.

Experienced and trustworthy

All our staff have extensive experience working with children and adults, and especially with vulnerable people. We offer a safe, supportive environment for people to overcome challenges at their own pace.

We are all outdoor educators with Forest School OCN Level 3 training and insurance, and all our staff hold outdoor first aid and food hygiene certificates.

Contact us if you would like to arrange regular Forest School sessions for your school or group, or one-off outdoor events and parties in the South West. We work at the Tortworth Forest Centre and have access to other woodland sites across the UK.

Our regular activities include:
